Picture of Our story

Our journey together began on March 16th, 2019, at a Greek social event. Little did we know, sitting next to each other that night would change our lives forever.

We instantly clicked, bonding over cheesy jokes and dancing the night away. After exchanging phone numbers and chatting on WhatsApp, it took a bit of convincing for me to get Cassandra to agree to a date. Understandably, she was a bit skeptical about going out with an “old” 21-year-old!

But after our first coffee date, we both knew we had found something special. Our dates became more frequent, and although we were living in different cities at the time, weekends together were a treat. I was in my Honours year at the time, so I spent many hours helping Cassandra understand her first-year AIM tutorials, which gave us an excuse to chat nearly every evening. Let’s just say Microsoft Excel was a great wingman (though I knew she didn’t really need the help).

During COVID, I made countless surprise visits to keep Cassandra company, turning lockdowns into unexpected adventures and showing that love truly knows no distance—or pandemic.

As time passed, our bond only grew stronger, and our love for sharing life’s adventures deepened. We’ve been lucky to travel together, exploring different cultures and creating unforgettable memories along the way.

On May 18th, 2024, I proposed to Cassandra in the most magical way. Our families were secretly hiding nearby, waiting to witness the moment. The weekend was full of surprises—starting with the proposal, followed by a surprise family dinner, and a religious engagement ceremony with yet another surprise family lunch the next day.

Through every challenge and joy, we’ve become each other’s better halves and best friends, supporting, laughing, and growing together every step of the way.

We are beyond excited for our wedding day and even more excited to continue doing life together. After all, I can’t think of a better way to spend a random Saturday at the end of October than to marry the love of my life.
